Katun’s management team is comprised of highly skilled, experienced professionals who understand the intricacies of the imaging industry. This team leads our company as we help our customers meet the challenges of changing markets and technologies – all with the goal of helping their businesses succeed.
Todd Mavis, President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Mavis joined Katun as President & Chief Executive Officer in August of 2012 and is responsible for all global operations.
Mr. Mavis has had a successful business career leading a number of public and private companies. Todd’s experiences span start-ups, turnarounds, mergers and acquisitions, and mature companies. Most recently Todd served as Chief Executive Officer for First Advantage Corporation, a leader in global HR outsourcing services and Executive Vice President of Operations for Corelogic, a risk mitigation service company.
Todd brings to Katun a wealth of industry and channel experience having served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Danka, a $1.3B global distributor of office imaging products and services. In addition to Todd’s direct industry experience he also has an international background in the computer hardware, software and service industries which included roles in sales, marketing and product development.
Todd holds an Executive MBA from San Diego State University with concentration in Entrepreneurship and Operations Management. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Todd is also a member of the Board of Directors for Katun and has served on numerous public and private company Boards.
Jim Sorboro, Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Sorboro joined Katun in July 2005, serving as Vice President and Controller. In his current role since mid-2007, he is responsible for worldwide accounting and finance, including financial reporting, tax, treasury, financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, accounts payable, and credit and collections.
Prior to Katun, Jim spent ten years working for Cypress Semiconductor, a public semiconductor manufacturer. He held management positions of increasing responsibility culminating in such roles as Director of Finance for Worldwide Manufacturing, Director of Finance for International Operations and Director of Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit. Prior to Cypress, Jim held positions in financial reporting and accounting operations at the Minnesota operating company of SYSCO Corporation, a multi- billion foodservice distributor.
Jim has a Master of Business Administration degree with a double concentration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Brian Fredrickson, Vice President & Chief Information Officer
Mr. Fredrickson has been with Katun in his current position since September 2003. In this role, he is responsible for all facets of the Company’s Information Systems, including applications, infrastructure and communications.
Prior to Katun, Brian spent ten years at Valspar Corporation, a worldwide supplier of industrial paints and coatings, headquartered in Minneapolis. He began his tenure with Valspar as a Project Manager, supporting the customer service and order entry organization. He later moved to the positions of Manager of Applications Development and Director of Information Technology. His final position at Valspar was that of Vice President of E-Commerce, where he developed and implemented a corporate wide e-business strategy.
Mr. Fredrickson holds both a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota. He is also a Certified Project Management Professional.
William McIntyre, Vice President & General Counsel
Mr. McIntyre is Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Katun. Bill joined the company in 2005 and is responsible for worldwide oversight of Katun’s legal functions. He also has responsibility for global corporate compliance, as well as human resources.
Before joining Katun, Bill was employed at Merchant and Gould, a Minneapolis law firm, practicing general intellectual property law with an emphasis on patent litigation. Prior to that, he worked as an Associate Attorney at Godfrey and Kahn in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Bill received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and his Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois.
Bob Moore, General Manager and Sr. Vice President, Strategy – International Markets
Mr. Moore has been employed at Katun since 1988. He began his career in the product development organization as the Manager of Imaging Supplies. During his tenure he has also served roles as the Senior Manager of Technical Operations, Assistant Vice President of Technical Operations and Assistant Vice President of Product Development, before taking over his current role in 2008. Prior to Katun, Bob spent three years working in dealerships as a Field Service Representative.
Mr. Moore has a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from Metropolitan State University and a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing and Finance from the University of Minnesota. He is a current member of the Product Development and Management Association and Imaging Science and Technology Association.
Bill Morris, Vice President, Global Supply Chain
Mr. Morris was hired by Katun in March 2006. In his role, he is responsible for worldwide supply chain activities, including supplier management, freight, logistics and global inventory planning and management. In addition, he is responsible for the Company’s North American distribution center in Davenport, Iowa, as well as corporate facilities management.
Prior to joining Katun, Bill spent three years at IKON Office solutions, where he was the Vice President of Supply Chain. He began his business career in 1980 at AMP Incorporated as a Staff Analyst and later held positions as the Director of Business Analysis and Director of Global Planning. When AMP was purchased by Tyco Electronics in 1999, he assumed the role of Area Director, Americas for the Computer and Consumer Electronics Group.
Prior to his experience with AMP, Mr. Morris spent several years working as an Economist, both for the Taylor Murphy Institute and the University of Virginia. He also taught several courses on economics and business methods at Washington and Jefferson College, in Washington Pennsylvania.
Mr. Morris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Delaware and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia.
Bruce Prokosch, General Manager, Latin American Business Unit
Mr. Prokosch was named General Manager-Latin America effective January 1, 2013.
In his new role, Mr. Prokosch is responsible for all aspects of the Company’s business operations in Mexico, Central/South America and the Caribbean basin. During his 20 year career with Katun, Mr. Prokosch has held numerous key positions developing and implementing the channel optimization and expansion strategy for the region. His roles have included Regional Sales Manager – Distributor Markets, National Sales Manager, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and AVP International Division – Latin America/Asia Pacific, prior to being named Director of Sales for the Latin America Business Unit, Miami, FL. His most recent assignment has been as General Manager – Mexico, Central America/Caribbean, based in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Prior to joining Katun, Mr. Prokosch worked as an Account Executive for IKON Office Solutions in Minnesota and as a Regional Sales Executive for telecommunications firm AT&T in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Mr. Prokosch holds a Bachelor’s Degree from St. John’s University, Collegeville, Minnesota, and is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
