A Small Startup Three Decades Ago Is Now The Worldwide Leading ProviderOf OEM-Equivalent Parts and Supplies for Office Equipment
MINNEAPOLIS -- (January, 2009) -- Katun Corporation, the world’s leading alternative supplier to the office equipment industry, is proud to mark the 30th anniversary of its founding under the theme “Earning Your Trust for Thirty Years,” company officials said today.
Katun was formed in 1979 to supply office equipment dealers with OEM-equivalent parts and supplies at outstanding value. Now, 30 years later, it has become the world’s largest and most trusted alternative supplier of toners, photoreceptors and parts for copiers, printers and multifunctional peripherals. From its beginnings with 15 employees at a small warehouse in Minnesota, the company now has close to 600 employees and numerous sales offices and distribution facilities around the world. Katun offers imaging supplies, photoreceptors, parts, and accessory products for virtually every major manufacturer of copiers, printers, MFPs and other imaging devices.
In addition, Katun continues to operate its own state-of-the-art Research and Development facility, at which skilled technicians perform a wide range of diagnostic testing and detailed expert analysis to ensure that Katun products deliver consistent performance, reliability and OEM compatibility.

The 30-year milestone coincides with Katun ’s most recent expansion in the color, printer, and production print markets, including several significant launches of color toners for use in widely placed Canon, Konica Minolta and Ricoh machines.
