Katun EMEA Announces Exclusive New Cartridge Style – Katun ecoKAP™ – Supporting Truly Sustainable Business Practices
Tiel, The Netherlands – (May 2023) – Katun® Corporation, one of the world’s leading alternative suppliers to the office equipment industry, is pleased to announce the introduction of Katun ecoKAP™ Cartridges in EMEA.
These new, innovative and environmentally sustainable cartridges are exclusive to Katun and will provide industry partners with an eco-friendly choice to make a difference by using less waste – the Katun ecoKAP™ cartridge uses a patent-pending cap that facilitates the refilling to make the Katun cartridge truly re-usable. The ecoKAP™ cartridges are currently manufactured using more than 60% of recycled plastics with plans to increase the percentage of recycled plastic in the future.
Katun is very excited to introduce this new, exclusive technology to our Kyocera and Utax customer partners as we transition to the Katun Performance™ toners for use in the Kyocera TaskAlfa 2554ci & 3554ci series devices as well as the Utax 2508ci & 3508ci series devices. Katun also intends to extend this innovative cartridge design to other brands and models within the portfolio to expand the environmental impact potential.
Katun EMEA will also be introducing the Katun ecoKAP™ Refilled Cartridges; an industry first! The Katun expanding portfolio already contains many sustainable examples; by using fewer raw materials and less energy consumption during production, Katun refilled-OEM cartridges impose 84%** less environmental impact compared to the manufacture of new-build products and Katun’s “Print it, Plant it” program, in partnership with PrintReleaf™, allows customers to offset their paper printing output through reforestation. To date, Katun customers and their customers have collectively contributed to the planting of over 7,000 trees in reforestation projects across the globe.
