Successful toner fusing in a color digital copier/printer requires melting together and physically blending a stack of multiple, separate toner layers (up to four), and proper fuser roller lubrication. While this is generally true of virtually all color DC/P’s, Katun’s product development team understands that each application is unique, and develops fuser rollers that meet individual machine requirements. With some machines, internal, simultaneous heating of both upper and lower fuser rollers is required to provide proper heat distribution from above and below the toner stack. For many models, continuous coating of these rollers with silicone oil is required to provide sufficient lubrication for effective toner release.
