About the Role – Are you a skilled Technician/Engineer with expertise in digital printers? We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join our team as a Technician/Engineer, focusing on Experience Room management and on-site installations. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining our Experience Room, providing technical support to customers, and ensuring optimal performance of our digital printers. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to travel and support customers across Europe with on-site installations. Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup and configuration of new digital printers and equipment in the Experience Room, ensuring they are installed, calibrated, and operational for customer demonstrations.
- Provide technical expertise and support to customers visiting the Experience Room, answering questions and demonstrating the capabilities of the digital printers.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to understand customer requirements and tailor demonstrations to effectively showcase the features and benefits of our digital printers.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and trends in digital printing technology to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.
- Conduct regular maintenance and preventive measures to ensure the optimal working condition of the digital printers and Experience Room equipment.
- Perform on-site installations at customer sites throughout Europe, including machine setup, customer training, and ongoing support.
- Provide feedback and insights to the product development team based on customer interactions and observations in the Experience Room.
- Document and maintain records of customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions in a detailed and organized manner.
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and stay informed about new product releases and updates.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe and compliant Experience Room environment.
What skills will you need to have?
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Technician/Engineer, preferably with a focus on digital printers or similar printing equipment.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of digital printing technologies, processes, and related equipment.
- Experience in setting up and maintaining equipment in a showroom or experience room setting is highly desirable.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to digital printers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers of varying technical backgrounds.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with digital printing software and RIP software is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, to accommodate customer visits and events, and to travel within Europe.
